The initiative comes on the back of the Christmas social media campaign ‘Christmas Means More’, which saw 165,00 page impressions on Facebook and Twitter and 42,000 views on PCI’s Facebook page.
‘Easter Means Everything’ seeks to remind people that while Christmas is important, Easter is even more significant, because God’s rescue plan for humanity was fulfilled through Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross.
The first vlog, ‘Easter Means – Celebrations’ with Gareth McFadden, Minister of Anahilt and Drumlough Presbyterian Churches, who reflects on Matthew 21:1-9 can be viewed below. All the vlogs are available on PCI’s Vimeo account.

In welcoming the initiative, the Moderator, Rt Rev Dr Charles McMullen said, “In my Easter Message, I wrote, ‘I believe in the distinctive contribution of the Lord Jesus Christ, the only one who has conquered suffering and death. As he revealed himself to those first disciples in his risen power, his message has its most enduring impact when it takes hold of us personally.’
“It is my prayer that this initiative, ‘Easter Means Everything’, will mean something to the many who watch and listen to the story of Christ’s crucifixion and resurrection. It is also my hope and prayer that their response will be personal: repenting of their sin, trusting in the Lord Jesus for their salvation and so entering into an eternal relationship with the living Christ.”
This Easter, a number of Presbyterian congregations will be holding dawn services to celebrate first thing on Easter Sunday morning the risen Lord Jesus Christ. If you would like to join them, you can find the details here.
