This resource is designed to facilitate a discussion by kirk session on how to reach people on the fringes of the congregation. This includes people in elders’ districts who rarely, if ever, attend Sunday worship but it also includes many others who have some connection to the congregation but who may not be on the membership list.

The discussion should take about an hour but some preparation is required. A PowerPoint and facilitator’s notes are provided (the notes provide details of the preparatory work). If PowerPoint is not available, the PowerPoint can be printed three slides per page and used as a handout.
