Taking Care

Taking Care is the name of the safeguarding policy and programme of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland. Our aim is to create and promote a safe environment for all.  We believe that next to proclaiming God’s Word and the love of Christ, nothing could be more important than keeping our children and young people safe.

Safeguarding Children and Young People in a Digital World: A Faith Sector’s Response

The inter-faith committee of the Safeguarding Board NI organised this conference, which was held on 10th March 2022.

The Taking Care office is delighted to share this recording by the Safeguarding Board NI.

The aim of this conference was three-fold:

  • To raise awareness of issues for children and young people in a digital world, and related offences in NI.
  • To raise awareness of the impact of the digital world on the emotional health and wellbeing of children and young people.
  • To explore ways in which the Faith Community can support the digital wellbeing of children and young people.

If you were unable to attend the event, I hope you are able to watch it here, and find it beneficial.

Jacqui Montgomery-Devlin, Head of Safeguarding
