To be responsible, through management and staff leadership, for promoting and ensuring the highest standards of care, in compliance with statutory requirements, to meet the physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs of the residents within the Christian ethos of PCI. To support the Home Manager in all aspects of the Management of the Home.

Essential:

  • A minimum of NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Care (or equivalent qualification)
  • Knowledge and understanding of the current legal responsibilities of the post and standards for the service, including the need for management and delivery of person-centred services
  • Knowledge of current health and social services available for those with additional needs
  • Computer skills for word processing and emailing
  • The ability to plan, develop and implement programmes of care
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a residential setting (2 years of which must be in a Senior care role)
  • Experience of ordering, receiving and administering medication
  • Experience of liaising with RQIA
  • A minimum of 1 years’ experience of supervising staff
  • Previous experience of managing residents with dementia/challenging behaviour
  • Experience of administration
  • Must be willing to work within the Christian ethos of PCI
  • Must be available to work flexibly to ensure residents needs are met
  • Willingness to maintain registration with the appropriate professional regulatory body eg., NISCC or NMC
  • Must be willing to adhere to NISCC Codes of Practice or N.M.C.
  • Satisfactory Access NI check

Hours: 39½ per week worked flexibly, including evening, weekend working and night duty as required. Successful applicant must be able to engage in active practice, working to shift patterns, and office-based cover. (Successful applicant is to be flexible to this approach to cover the rota).
