Join in the special Week of Prayer from 1-8 March 2020

Resources are available to download from this page to help congregations join together in prayer across the denomination with the theme ‘Enjoying God’. These can be used during Sunday services, traditional midweek meetings, home groups, with your family and prayer meetings. We would also encourage Sunday schools, youth and adult organisations to make time for a special emphasis on prayer. The PCI devotional resource Tides will also be joining in with this special week.

Each day will cover different themes, including the power of God, the parenthood of God, the purposes of God and the peace of God.

Why not share images of how your congregation is praying using the hashtag #Letspray and #enjoyingGod on social media. Don’t forget you can also download the PrayerMate APP to receive the daily Let’s Pray material.

A word from the Moderator

“As I have been visiting churches over the past year and speaking to ministers and others, I have sensed a desire to pray for the blessing of God upon our Church and our land. It’s a vital and earnest desire; and we all know that without the unction of the Holy Spirit upon our efforts we will be labouring in vain. When a Church prays for revival that Church is praying for a power not their own, but for the power of the Holy Spirit to be poured out in greater measure than they can imagine.

For this special week as we pray focusing on ‘Enjoying God’, let us be aware of God himself, praying for an awakening to him, and a fresh feeling of being awed by his saving power. Jesus said, “… apart from me you can do nothing” (John 15:5).
