General Assembly 2022 Business

1.6.2022 | General Assembly, GA2022,

The 2022 General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland meets in Assembly Buildings in Belfast from Wednesday evening, 22 June and closes on Saturday afternoon, 25 June.

The October 2021 General Assembly agreed to recommendations that seek to make future meetings more accessible. These included moving the Assembly to slightly later in June, opening on a Wednesday evening and working through until Saturday afternoon.

Attended by approximately 1,000 ministers and elders from the Church’s 500-plus congregations across Ireland, it will be a busy time with 26 items of allotted business from the General Assembly’s 12 Councils and Commissions, numerous panels and task groups, spread across 25 hours, that will ultimately involve over 70 resolutions being decided upon.

In this section you will find details of each day’s business before the General Assembly. You can download the reports and resolutions mentioned below in The Blue Book here. This page also includes new digital and e-reader versions of the Blue Book. Supplementary reports can be found here when published.
