The 2022 General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland took place in Assembly Buildings, Belfast from Wednesday, 22 June and closed on the afternoon of Saturday, 25 June.

The General Assembly is the denomination’s principal decision-making and governing body - the highest court of the Church - where decisions taken by Members of Assembly will set the direction for the life and ministry of PCI over the coming year and beyond.
Having had to conduct business through a small online Commission in 2020, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and hold a scaled back in-person meeting last October, the 2022 gathering was the first time since 2019 that the General Assembly had been able meet in its usual month and manner.
The 2021 Assembly agreed that from this year it would move to a slightly later start in June, with the Opening Night on a Wednesday and not a Monday, with business conducted into Thursday and the Friday evenings. The General Assembly also agreed that business sessions would be held on Saturday morning and afternoon, to enable greater opportunity for those entitled to attend to take part in discussions and the decision-making process.
