Specialist Services

The Presbyterian Church in Ireland through the Specialist Services Committee of it's Council for Social Witness provides services to those with addictions and offending behaviours, and who require supported housing.

The external Agencies listed below offer assistance to those requiring help or information in this area.

 

Specialist Services – PCI

    Carlisle House

A residential substance misuse treatment centre situated near the centre of Belfast. It caters for individuals aged between 18 and 65, from the greater Belfast Health Trust and Northern Health Trust. Carlisle House also welcomes private clients. It offers a range of services, advice and information, treatment programmes, and ongoing support services.

    Gray’s Court

Gray’s Court was opened in 2000 in response to a need identified by staff at Carlisle House Addiction Rehabilitation Unit for supported accommodation for people in early recovery who were homeless, or living in circumstances detrimental to their recovery. The project is joint between the Council for Social Witness and Habinteg Housing Association and is supported by United Appeal.

    Thompson House

Thompson House has recently been redeveloped in partnership with Helm Housing Association. It provides supported housing to offenders, where behaviour can be managed and monitored in the interests of public safety and from where permanent accommodation can be sourced.

    Rutland Centre

The Rutland Centre is a registered charity and since it was founded in 1978 it has grown into the largest and most respected private addiction rehabilitation centre in Ireland. Our residential programme is drug free meaning that no mood altering medication is used.
