The Council for Social Witness' (CSW) Recognition Awards exists to celebrate the outstanding contribution of staff and volunteers who are either delivering or creating awareness in the area of Social Witness.
The third of these bi-annual events, the 2018 Recognition Awards, took place in Assembly Buildings on 14 December 2018.
The award is open to all full- or part-time staff members and volunteers of CSW, congregations and agencies of the Church, with the basis for selection being excellence in the areas of performance, dedication, positive attitude and contribution as a team player.
Encouraging people to nominate in the wards, Lindsay Conway, CSW Secretary said, “Our church has hundreds of ‘unsung heroes’ – people who up and down the country giving tirelessly of themselves to make life a bit more tolerable and a little happier for hundreds, if not thousands of people.
“If one of your church groups is helping to meet the needs of your community in an exceptional way, or you know an individual who is making a real difference in demonstrating Christ’s love to others or a member of staff in one our homes, let us know!”
