The Chaplaincy Centre based on Elmwood Avenue is at the heart of the Queen’s University Belfast campus. The Chaplaincy Centre offers pastoral care and a counselling service for any student in need of a listening ear or some guidance.


The Chaplain Rev Nigel Craig and Assistant Lay Chaplain Lyndsey Ballantine are always available for any student who is in need of some help whether personal, spiritual or educational.

Situated in the heart of the university on Elmwood Avenue the chaplaincy centre assists students in a variety of different ways. There are rooms available for small groups and meetings.

The Chaplaincy Centre is also connected to the Presbyterian Halls of residence on Derryvolgie Avenue. Derryvolgie Hall which houses 88 students and is also a Chaplaincy venue for relevant biblical teaching and creative worship.

The United Appeal assists with the funding of the Council for Mission in Ireland, enabling the Council to support the work and Christian witness offered at the Chaplaincy Centre.
