Francis Mooney

Aaron House Residential Care Home

Francis began working in the care sector in 1993.  He sought experience in various areas of social care before happening upon day care and a Manager’s role in the centre at Aaron House. He completed his QCF Level 5 in Management in Health and Social Care in the last few years.  Francis has a keen interest in autism and challenging behaviours which has been forged over the last 20 or more years.

Currently, the home seeks to care for nine service-users every day and in total they would have 12 service-users over the course of each week.  Francis take great pride in the work they do with each service-user individually, in the support they offer parents and family members of service-users and the exalted position they seek to give God’s Word in the day care centre and in the way he personally manages the unit.

They have also sought to build a sensory garden over the last few years, an incredible amount of work but when in bloom it is beautiful.

Francis is married to Lois, who is a Primary School teacher, and have two children, Kezia who is 11 and Isaac who is 7.

Prayer Points

  • Pray for Alison Moore as she assists in the management of staff and the day-to-day running of the centre.
  • Pray for the two new members of staff that they may be able to learn the role, get to know the service-users and may feel valued members of an established team.
  • Pray for each service-user who have illnesses, behavioural issues and various disabilities that they may discover God at their level and that He may bring peace, joy and love to their lives.
  • Pray for Emma Keegan who assists in the carrying out of activities and much more as she would soon seek to move on to a different employment challenge.
