The Bible Society in Northern Ireland (BSNI) was founded in 1807. Today, it joins with other Bible Societies as the United Bible Societies to achieve the most effective translation, publication, and distribution of the Bible in all the languages spoken today.
The work of the Bible Societies in making the Scriptures available in a multitude of languages, and in distributing them all over the world, is strategic in aiding the spread of the Good News of Jesus Christ, as well as giving countless thousands the opportunity to own and read a Bible written in their mother tongue.
Together with agencies involved in Christian Broadcasting, the Bible Societies play a vital role in supporting the life and witness of the worldwide Church. These Special Service Agencies, or SSA's, are doing what no one church or denomination can easily do, playing a vital role in the building of God's Kingdom around the world.
PCI commends the work of BSNI and would encourage congregations to support them in any way they can.
