At last! A chance for young people across the Presbyterian Church in Ireland to unite together again.

onward-final-logo-01-(1).jpgONWARD will take place in halls across the island around one centrally streamed gathering, allowing us to be together in a totally new way. Whether you are a smaller or larger youth group, or a number of local churches joining together, we want to see more young people than ever before come together at the same time to move onward, journeying together in hope.

Programme

ONWARD will be a mix of “mainstage” input which will be streamed live to your venue, and dynamic, fun elements for young people to enjoy there together. There will be worship and talks from two fantastic youth speakers: Nicola Clarke (Orangefield P.C.) and Carl McManus (Young Life) who will help us reflect from God’s Word as we all walk a journey from Good Friday to Easter Sunday, a journey of hope to strengthen us all as we look to the future.

The streamed programme will start at 7.30pm and run until 9pm, which gives you an opportunity to meet early for food, or stay later for supper and optional small group discussion - you make it work best for your circumstances.

Registration

You can register to be an ONWARD satellite venue using the form below, either for your group or congregation alone, or joining with other churches locally, according to your capacity. Each satellite venue must have a contact person who will receive all important information, including a host pack which will be sent out at the start of March, containing all you need to know to host ONWARD in your venue.

Registration will close on Friday 25 March 2022 at 4pm.

Practicalities

Running ONWARD satellite venue in your church will not need a lot of work on your part, but will require some careful planning and coordination. Of course, a reliable internet source will be necessary, and suitable means to show the livestream in a location where you will also be able to take part in any activities as part of the programme.

You will need to coordinate with the Kirk Session, making sure you are able to safely operate under the relevant Covid guidelines at that time. It will also be your job to advertise and book the young people who will attend your venue, in the way that best normally works for you. Other than that, you need to organise any equipment in line with the host pack we will send you, and whatever food etc. you wish to have around the event. We will include more ideas on that in your pack.
