The world today can be overwhelming. Culture wars. Constant connectedness. Covid’s impact. A changing church landscape. Crisis after crisis. The list of challenges impacting how people faithfully follow Jesus today goes on.

A disciple shaped life isn’t crafted overnight. It takes hours, days, weeks, months, and even years of commitment. It requires sustained scriptural focus. It takes intentional relationships. It needs the rhythms of worship, prayer and service found in the local church.

So, how can we shape aspects of local church life – worship, Bible engagement and fellowship – to effectively equip members to follow Jesus with courage, commitment and conviction in today’s world?

As PCI congregations across Ireland hit the reset button on their discipleship practices following the impact of the last three years, the Council for Congregational Life and Witness invites you to ‘Discipleshaping Church Today’.

Designed to encourage ministers, elders, leaders and other interested members to reflect on what it means to develop the kind of church life that shapes faithful followers of Jesus, the day will include opportunities to hear plenary addresses from keynote speaker Andrew Fellows, have your say in one of three discussion forums, and enjoy a light lunch with others from across the denomination.
