Bible Storytelling (delivered by Simply the Story)
Not everybody engages with the Bible by reading it or in a group study. For people who don’t enjoy reading or who learn in a more interactive way, Bible storytelling is a method of bringing God's word to others without a printed Bible.
In a workshop setting, Bible stories carefully re-told in ways that help the listener enter into the story and discover truth for themselves, whilst also remaining true to the message of scripture.
Simply the Story have much experience in Bible Storytelling and are delivering training in Union College, Belfast at the beginning of January 2024.
This training is for ministers, leaders or anyone who would like to be able to be able to tell fascinating, accurate stories and to lead interactive discussions on Bible passages. It could be a helpful tool for those leading ministries with any of the following groups of people:
- Migrants
- Unchurched individuals with little Bible knowledge and/or low levels of literacy
- Youth/Children’s workers as a tool to engage unchurched children/young people with the Bible.
The training offers two options:
3-day Practitioner course
Union College, Belfast
Wednesday 10 January 2024 1–5.30pm
Thursday 11 and Friday 12 January 2024 9am–5.30pm
Cost: £70.00 (includes lunch each day)
The practitioner course will help people to learn how to easily remember and tell Bible stories, how to ask great questions so that their friends and family can unlock spiritual treasures and personal applications from the stories.

5-day Instructor course
Union College, Belfast

Cost: £120.00 (includes lunch each day)
The instructor course will help people to learn how to easily remember and tell Bible stories, how to ask great questions so that their friends and family can unlock spiritual treasures and personal applications from the stories. This course will also equip people to be able to pass on storytelling skills to others.
