PCI Talks Education: A Vision for the Future in Northern Ireland

  • 29.1.2022 - 29.1.2022
  • 9:30 AM - 1:00 PM
  • Assembly Buildings, Belfast
  • Free
  • Church, Youth & Children

An opportunity for Presbyterians involved in education as governors, teachers, senior leaders and in other capacities to pause and reflect on the church’s role in this important area.

Feedback from the morning will inform PCI’s response to the Independent Review of Education which is considering all aspects of the education journey for children and young people, funding and governance, and defining what a “single education system” means in the context of Northern Ireland.

This is a vital and strategic moment for the future of the church’s role in education in Northern Ireland.

It is vitally important that PCI takes this opportunity to work through its position on education in Northern Ireland, given that questions are being asked in wider society about the role and influence of churches in education.

It is vitally important that the voices of committed Christian people involved in all aspects of education are heard as part of the Independent Review.

PCI Talks Education will include input from Dr Irvin Scott, Harvard Leadership Institute for Faith and Education, and a panel of local educationalists. This will be followed by roundtable discussions considering some of the big questions facing education in Northern Ireland today.

NB: Those who have already been registered through their presbytery as an attendee at the conference do not need to register again.

Registration has now closed.
