Andy Carroll, the Presbyterian minister in Donabate in Dublin, doesn't go to a traditional church for Sunday service but worships with his congregation in the local community centre.
Presbyterians in the Dublin Presbytery thought there was a need for a new congregation in the area, but rather than starting with an expensive building they have begun building the community and when necessary will find a suitable home.
"Building a church is all about developing relationships and sharing what you have with others," says Andy. "Rather than having to worry about where we meet and raising money, our focus is on the people and ministering to their needs."
Should the congregation need a home of their own then United Appeal will provide some of the finance for the move but in the meantime finite resources are being spent carefully and wisely while allowing God's ministry to develop in a new and exciting way.
Further information and video will be uploaded soon.
