September Conference

There will be a conference held on Saturday 6 September 2008 in Church House.

This conference should help members make the transition to Presbyterian Women. It will be a morning to encourage and inspire you.

Other News

This year marks one hundred years of Deaconess work within the Presbyterian Church in Ireland. To celebrate this occasion various events will be held throughout the year.

Thanksgiving Service

A publication highlighting the work of Deaconesses will be available to purchase in the next few months. Further details will follow.

Charlotte Stevenson, PWA Development Officer, is available to come and speak to your committee or at LINK meetings. Her role is to help encourage and advise branches on how to lead their PWA effectively. All deputation bookings are made with Fiona in the office. However, if you would like to speak to Charlotte or arrange an informal meeting with her please feel free to contact her at the office or email cstevenson@presbyterianireland.org.

We have some extra programme cards in the office. If you have not yet collected your programme cards or would like some more please contact the office.

This year we have produced a DVD inviting you to 'Come and See' the work of PWA and some of the Home projects that we have supported in the past. The duration of the DVD is thirty minutes. It has six five minute clips highlighting various aspects of our work. It can either be shown in one viewing or spread over several meetings. The DVD will be sent to branch secretaries with the September branch letter.
