Background:

Evelyn was born in Co Donegal. She felt the call to deaconess work in her teens and after leaving school worked for one year in Seva Sadan in Birmingham before going to St Colm's College in Edinburgh for her deaconess training. Evelyn's home congregation is Stranorlar.

Present Ministry:

Evelyn has been working in First Lisburn since August 1997 where she is involved in the general work of the congregation which is very challenging. This includes pastoral work both in hospital and at home, leading Bible Studies, Prayer Gathering, GB Bible Class, services of worship in Nursing Homes, the development of a prayer healing ministry and working with some of the groups that meet in the Downtown Centre.

Interests:

Going to the gym, card making, cooking and a night in the house to relax.

Prayer Requests:

  • Give praise and thanks to God for many prayers answered.
  • Give thanks for the many people contacted and prayed with.
  • For the development of the prayer healing ministry.
  • For the wisdom and guidance of the Holy Spirit to know how to encourage people into a relationship with Jesus and to grow in faith.
  • For sensitivity to listen to people and to listen to God's voice so that those Evelyn comes in contact with will know the healing love and power of Jesus.
