Background:
Sonya grew up on a farm in Keady, Co. Armagh and belongs to 2nd Keady Presbyterian Church. After leaving school in 1997 she did a year team with Youth for Christ in Enniskillen before going to Prairie Bible College in Canada where she gained a BA in Biblical and Theological Studies. Sonya taught English as a Second Language (ESL) for a year and then worked as a receptionist prior to starting Deaconess training in September 2005. She served her probationary year in Abbey Presbyterian Church, Monkstown.
