Service:

1988 - West Church, Ballymena

Background:

Phyllis was brought up in Newry and attended Sandys Street Church. She worked in Belfast as an Executive Officer in the Civil Service at Stormont. She married David in 1994.


Present Ministry:

Phyllis spends most of her time visiting parishioners.
Regularly leads worship.
Using counselling skills in pastoral work to help individuals and families with alcohol addiction problems and family relationship difficulties.
Building relationships - evangelising with families on the fringe of the church


Interests:

Walking, reading, going to the cinema, listening to music and watching sport.


Prayer Requests:

  • For wisdom as Phyllis deals with crisis situations in pastoral work.
  • That the Lord will help her to involve more and more people in leadership roles.
  • For time spent alone with the Lord so that she is always spiritually fresh to help those in need.
  • For insight as she develops visiting structures.
