Background:

Christine is married to Jim and has two children, Grace and Claire. In 1979 she obtained a BA (Hons) Degree in Social Administration and worked for a short time with the Department of Health and Social Services. The family belong to Orangefield Presbyterian Church. Christine moved to part time work in 2004


Present Ministry:

Hospital work.
Christine is part of the chaplaincy team in the Ulster Hospital and her role is primarily one of visitation to the sick. As a deaconess she sees her role as a befriender, a listener, someone who is there to support those who are in hospital, to pray with them and remind them of God's love and care. Christine is also involved in the weekly service in the Care of the Elderly Unit and also conducts Sunday service in the hospital church once a month.


Interests:

Reading and swimming.


Prayer Requests:

  • That Christine might be an encouragement to people and share God's love and compassion with them.
  • For wisdom and sensitivity in knowing how to approach different situations.
  • That the weekly services would be a source of comfort and assurance to all who attend.
