Background:Jean had brief forays into the world of banking and the Civil Service before embarking on a teaching career. From 1976-1982 she taught RE and English in Glengormley High School, following which she became a Schools' Worker with Scripture Union until 1990. Jean grew up in the congregations of Nelson Memorial and, later, West Kirk. |
Present Ministry:Working along with Rev Henry Wilson as a member of the Chaplaincy Team in the Royal Hospital, now part of the Belfast Trust. Primarily ministering to patients who on admission to hospital indicate their church denomination as Presbyterian. Being a link to the local congregation while people are in hospital and providing a supportive and supplementary ministry alongside the patient's own ministry team. A growing pastoral ministry to staff members is ongoing. |
