Valerie Tweedie -- Home Vice-President

I have had an interest in women’s ministry since I became a Christian through the Young Women's Group in my home congregation of Orangefield some years ago. The Lord has guided my path since then, a path which led me to become Chairperson of the former Young Women's Group and now to being an office bearer of Presbyterian Women Central Committee. The Lord has transformed my life and continues to do so and as He stretches me out of my comfort zone, I cling to the promise that 'I can do all things through Him who strengthens me'. I am excited about the future of Presbyterian Women and how our groups will be used to reach out to women from all walks of life -- women like you and me!

I am married to Ken, and we have 2 young adults and a 12 year old living at home. I am quite unadventurous when it comes to travel and just love spending the summer in my caravan in Newcastle.
