Deaconess Information - Amy Magee

Background:

Amy grew up in Ballymoney and studied in Glasgow for four years where she received an MA Hons in Theology.

On returning home, Amy had the intention of going into teaching. However, God had other plans and she became a youth worker in her home congregation of Trinity Ballymoney. After this she felt God was calling her to remain in church work and the opportunity to train as a Deaconess came across her path. She started Union College in September 2009 and studied there for one year. Amy commenced her Probationary Year in Muckamore during the summer of 2010.

Amy married Simon in June 2010.

Amy likes reading, baking and knitting. She enjoys spending time with family and friends and is settling into her new role as a wife!

Prayer Requests:

• Give thanks that God has led Amy to Muckamore and that she feels so settled after only a few months.
• Pray that God would make clear to Amy what areas of service he wants her to be involved in during her time in Muckamore.
• Pray for God's wisdom and guidance in every conversation and situation.
• Pray that Amy will be able to balance her time between work, family and personal time with God.
