Background:

Phyllis was brought up in Newry and attended Sandys Street Church. She worked in Belfast as an Executive Officer in the Civil Service at Stormont. Phyllis married David in 1994.

Present Ministry:

  • Visiting parishioners -- Phyllis spends most of her time in this aspect of her work.
  • Leading worship on a regular basis.
  • Counselling people with alcohol addiction problems and families with relationship difficulties.
  • Leading the Griefshare Course.
  • Developing pastoral care courses.

Interests:

Walking, reading, going to the cinema, listening to music and watching sport.

Prayer Requests:

  • For wisdom in dealing with crisis situations in pastoral work.
  • For help in involving more people in leadership roles.
  • For wisdom in leading the Griefshare Course, and insight in developing additional courses in pastoral care.
  • For time to be still and listen to God speak in her personal devotional life, and for a deeper awareness to the voice of the Holy Spirit when she prays for other people.
