Background:

Doreen's home congregation is Clarkesbridge and First Newtownhamilton, Co. Armagh. Previously a nurse and midwife, Doreen trained and became a full-time staff worker for International Hospital Christian Fellowship in 1985. Doreen commenced Deaconess training in 1989.

Present Ministry:

Doreen finds her ministry in Whitehouse fulfilling. The congregation has settled again after the disruption of fire and flood. These events have made us a stronger congregation, and a growing one, with new families and individuals joining regularly.

Doreen's responsibilities include --
  • co-ordinating the children's ministry
  • pastoral care of seniors, with a new venture
    of a Bible Study with this group
  • leading the prayer ministry teams
  • assisting in worship
  • Chaplain of the Girls' Brigade in her own company and also GBNI

Doreen continues to serve as part-time denominational Chaplain to NI Hospice Care

Interests:

Music, reading, scenic walks, gardening, watching sports, travel and visits to family and friends.
