Africa

Location: Kenya -- Greater Nairobi
Partner: Presbyterian Church of East Africa (PCEA)
Role: YOUTH LEADERSHIP TRAINING
  Develop and administer a programme of Youth Leadership Training, to include annual conference, training events and capacity building. Willingness to learn and use local language needed.
 
Location: South East Kenya -- Galana
Partner: Presbyterian Church of East Africa (PCEA)
Role: COMMUNITY NURSE/HEALTH WORKER
  Work alongside community to envision and equip the community in areas of health, hygiene and HIV/AIDS. Willingness to learn and use local language needed.
Other team members - Project staff and Community/Agricultural Worker.
 
Location: Malawi -- Loudon (Embangweni) - Based at Loudon Teacher Training College (Primary School)
Partner: Church of Central Africa Presbyterian (CCAP), Livingstonia Synod
Role: TEACHER TRAINING
  Curriculum development, building relationships with the Government's department of education, updating administrative methods and teacher training. Willingness to learn and use local language needed.
Other team members - Principal and other teaching staff.
 
Location: Malawi -- Livingstonia
Partner: Church of Central Africa Presbyterian (CCAP), Livingstonia Synod
Role: DOCTOR
  Doctor for the David Gordon Memorial Hospital. Broad general medical background, experience in obstetrics or a willingness to learn. General surgical skills useful. Scope for involvement in community medicine. Willingness to learn and use local language needed.
Other team members - Medical Officer in Charge and Hospital staff.

 

Asia

Location: India - Mussorie
Partner: Woodstock School
Roles: 1. Principal - experienced senior administrator to lead the school. Should have a master's degree;
2. Director of Human Resources;
3. Science (Physics) - High School Teacher;
4. Social Studies - High School Teacher;
5. Language Arts - Middle School Teacher;
6. Music Teacher (Piano);
7. Residence Staff (teacher-counselor) responsible for care, nurture and discipline of students before and after school and at weekends.
 
Location: Indonesia -- Timor
Partner: The Evangelical Christian Church in Timor (GMIT)
Role: TEACHING ENGLISH
  Teach English to theological students. GMIT would like the English teacher to have theological training. Willingness to learn and use local language needed.
Other team members - Faculty staff of the Theological College.
 
Location: Indonesia -- Halmahera
Partner: The Evangelical Christian Church in Halmahera (GMIH)
Role: TEACHING ENGLISH
  Teach English to theological students. Willingness to learn and use local language needed.

Location: Indonesia -- Halmahera

Role: LECTURE IN OLD TESTAMENT OR NEW TESTAMENT OR THEOLOGY
  Lecture to theological students. Willingness to learn and use local language needed.

Location: Nepal -- Based in Kathmandu with travel to other locations

2. DISASTER MANAGEMENT ADVISOR
3. ORGANISATIONAL DEVELOPMENT ADVISOR

Location: Mongolia

Urgent needs: English Teachers - Pastoral Care Worker

  Willingness to learn and use local language needed.
 
ALSO REQUIRED: TEACHER(s) for China with the Amity Foundation - established in 1985 by Chinese Christians to promote health, education and welfare in China. The Foundation gives priority to placing teachers in regional colleges and smaller universities with limited funding. Willingness to learn and use local language needed.
