The Presbyterian Board of Mission Overseas (BMO) is holding its annual Celebration of Global Mission later this month. This year, for the first time, the event will be run in two different venues to ensure that more people will be able to attend. The first evening will take place in Carnmoney Presbyterian on Tuesday 23 October at 7.30pm and the second, which will have the same programme as the first, will be held in First Armagh Presbyterian on Thursday 25 October at 7.30pm.
The theme this year is 'Together in Mission' and will be an opportunity to find out more about Presbyterian Mission overseas. Those taking part include the Moderator, Dr John Finlay, Rev Stephen and Mrs Linda Bota from Malawi, Norman and Pauline Kennedy from Kenya, Jim and Pam Ferguson, former missionaries in Indonesia, Dr Mark Gray, convener of World Development Committee and members of the Board's 2007 team to Ukraine. Also taking part throughout the evening will be Rev John Hanna, convener of BMO and Rev Uel Marrs, Presbyterian Overseas Secretary.
The events will be an interesting, informative and challenging focus on mission around the world and an open invitation is extended to anyone who would like to hear more about the work of the Board of Mission Overseas.
