Trinity Ballymoney Celebrates First Anniversary Of New Halls

Presbyterian Moderator, Dr Harry Uprichard will join with members of Trinity Presbyterian Church, Ballymoney this Sunday 18 September as they celebrate the first anniversary since opening their new church halls. Dr Uprichard will lead the congregation in a thanksgiving service at 11.30am.

Trinity, Ballymoney currently has 420 families that have been benefiting from the new halls for a year now. The new facilities include a main hall, several minor halls, a children's room and a lounge.

The full range of organisations throughout the church have been enjoying the use of the new building, including a youth club with 300 young people, which meets every Friday night and a club for senior citizens. The lounge has also proven to be a useful venue for the 'Christianity Explored' course that the church is currently running, which introduces people to Christianity and offers them the opportunity to ask questions in an informal setting.

"We are very pleased that the Moderator is celebrating with us this Sunday," said Rev. Ian McNie, minister of Trinity.

"The halls have been a huge benefit to the congregation and we hope to continue to use them to serve Christ and reach out to the wider community."
