American Presbyterians Support Vine Community Centre On Belfast's Crumlin Road

Representatives of the Presbyterian Church in the USA visited the Vine Community Centre at 193 Crumlin Road, Belfast last Monday 4 November to hand over a cheque for $4,000 in support of the centre's work.

Linda Gibson, a Presbyterian deaconess and Director of the Vine received the cheque from visiting Americans, Ambassador Josiah Beeman, Dr Jim Macdonnell, Dr Ken Hall and Judge James Baskin who then saw around the Vine including its after school's club for young children and afternoon activities for pensioners.

Established in the early 70's The Vine, a Christian Community Development Centre, recently moved to new premises at 193 Crumlin Road from where it runs a series of community development programmes for young children, teenagers, unemployed people and pensioners.
