Presbyterian Congregations from throughout Ireland are expected to gather early to celebrate Easter at dawn on Easter Sunday morning, (March 31st 2002). The dawn services, which mostly commence at 6.30am were originally started by youth groups in respective presbyteries across the island. This Sunday's services however, are organized by different members of the Presbyterian Church, with a number also organized with support from other denominations. North Belfast Presbyterians for example, will share with the Salvation Army at Lough Shore.
For most gatherings, the Easter Dawn service will comprise a reading, praise and prayer, in a short act of public witness to the Risen Christ. A breakfast will also be provided at most of the events.
All of the Dawn services are at 6.30am unless otherwise stated:

By supporting these services on Sunday morning we can also emphasize the equal joy of Easter. It also represents a different but fruitful form of fellowship."
