The Leaders of Ireland's four main churches are to meet with the Prime Minister this Thursday, 24 January at 9.00am in Downing Street.
This meeting, arranged some months ago, is at the invitation of Mr Blair and takes place during the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity.
Items expected to be discussed include co-operation between churches and the developing situation in Northern Ireland.
The four church leaders, Dr Sean Brady (Roman Catholic Archbishop of Armagh), Dr Robin Eames (Church of Ireland Archbishop of Armagh), Dr Alastair Dunlop (Moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland) and Rev Harold Good (President of the Methodist Church in Ireland) will not give interviews prior to the meeting but will be available for comment afterwards at approx 10.00am in Downing Street.
The church leaders will be accompanied by Fr Martin Clarke, Director of the Catholic Communications Office, who may be contacted on 00353 87220 8044 to arrange media requirements.
