Moderator Tours Dromore Presbytery

Presbyterian Moderator Dr Alastair Dunlop begins a week long tour of the Dromore Presbytery this weekend, (Sunday 4th November 2001). This is Dr Dunlop's first Presbytery tour during which he will meet Presbyterians and members of the wider public in a variety of roles.

The Dromore Presbytery encompasses a number of rural churches, as well as congregations in the County Down town itself. The Moderator will also be paying a visit to several venues in Lisburn, not least to the British Army headquarters in Theipval barracks. Dr Dunlop goes on to inspect the vital work of the Agricultural Research Institute in Large Park, Hillsborough and will pay a visit to the Coca-Cola bottling facility at Hilden. He comments:

"I'm really looking forward to seeing how church members exercise their faith in the working world and to encouraging people as they witness to their faith outside of church on Sunday. I also relish this opportunity to gain insight into the work of schools, factories and other institutions that serve our community."
