Several major meetings and events of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland due to take place within the next fortnight have had to be cancelled as a result of the Foot and Mouth 0utbreak. Cancellations include 'Irish Mission' Rallies which had been planned to take place throughout Ireland, as well as most of the up and coming Synod meetings. The cancellations are as follows:
Irish Mission Rallies cancelled: (Wednesday 14th March 2001)
Belfast Area: Carryduff Presbyterian Derry and Donegal: Ebrington Presbyterian South Down and Armagh: Annalong Presbyterian Ballymena and Ballymoney: Cunningham Memorial, Cullybackey Tyrone and South Derry: Union Rd Magherafelt Omagh and Fermanagh: Ballygawley PresbyterianSynod Meetings cancelled:
Dublin: Ramelton Presbyterian 12th March Ballymena and Coleraine: St James Ballymoney 13th March Armagh and Down: First Lisburn 13th March Derry and Omagh: Carland Presbyterian 14th MarchNB The Synod Of Belfast are still due to meet on Tuesda,y 13th March, at 10 am in Townsend Street, Belfast.
