Dr Geiko Muller - Fahrenholz, the acknowledged German theolgian will give this year's James Haire Memorial Lecture. The lecture arranged by the Irish School of Ecumenics is entitled "Healing the Wounds of the Nations: Towards A Common Mission For the Churches."
On Tuesday 2 March Dr Muller-Fahrenholz will deliver the lecture at Queens University at 7:30pm, Room 1022 in the Sir David Bates Building and two days later, Thursday 4 March, at 8.00pm in the Irish School of Ecumenics, Dublin
A former lecturer at the United Nations University at San Jose, Costa Rica, Dr Muller - Farenholz works as an Ecumenical Officer for the Evangelical Church in Germany and is author of the top selling book "The Lost Art of Forgiveness." His latest work, "God's Spirit, Transforming a World in Crisis" has just been published. He has also worked in a variety of other ecumenical positions in his own country as well as for the World Council of Churches.
The James Haire Memorial Lecture is given annually in memory of a distinguished former moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland and is used to encourage broader awareness of work done by the Irish School of Ecumenics.
