Local church members in the Newtownabbey area are being urged to bring a friend to an innovative series of evangelistic services at Carmoney Presbyterian Church.
The services known as "Sunday Night Life" start at 6:30pm in the church hall and feature performances from local contemporary Christian musicians including Carnmoney's own church orchestra. Different Bible teachers and church ministers also have an opportunity to present the Christian message in clear terms with the primary aim of speaking to people who are "un - churched".
"Sunday Night Life" is Carnmoney Church's contribution to the Life 2 outreach campaign a church wide initiative of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland. This Sunday evening 24th January, the Presbyterian Moderator Dr John Dixon will speak at "Sunday Night Life" which is regularly attracting nearly three hundred mainly young people to the church hall every week.
Minister of Carnmoney Presbyterian Church, Rev Stafford Carson is optimistic about the services which continue until... He comments:
"The aim of every church should be to reach out into the local community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are so thankful that this more contemporary format has enabled local community members to actually come in to the church to hear our message in a relaxed 'cringe free' environment."
Pictures of the Moderator's visit to Carmoney can be arranged by contacting Rev Stafford Carson on 01232 832538
