Presbyterian Moderator Dr John Dixon will be in Dublin for two official visits this Monday, 11 January, 1999.
At 12 noon Dr Dixon will meet with the Lord Mayor of Dublin at the Mansion House. The Moderator will be accompanied by his wife Mrs Claire Dixon and the meeting is expected to last for about one hour. Arrangements for a photo call should be made with the Lord Mayor's Office, Tel: Dublin 6761845
At 4.00pm the Moderator will be received by the President of Ireland, Mrs Mary McAleese at Aras an Uachtarain. The Moderator will be accompanied by Mrs Dixon and Mr George McCullagh, co-convener of the Presbyterian Church and Government Committee. Arrangements for a photo call should be made with the Presidents Press Office,Tel:Dublin 6171075.
Both meetings are annual courtesy visits undertaken by the Moderator as the main representative of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland, operating as it does in both jurisdictions.
