The Presbyterian Church condemned today's attack on an RUC Officer in Londonderry.
Dr John Dunlop, the convener of the Church and Government Committee said, "It has been clear that the IRA has recently been attempting to kill members of the RUC. This is an outrageous attempt to take someone's life in pursuit of a strategy which is going nowhere. This action shows no regard for the sacredness of someone's life and is to be totally condemned."
The Moderator, Dr Allen, is at present in the USA.
