Presbyterian Moderator, Dr Harry Allen, accompanied by the Bishop of Connor, Rt Rev James Moore, today visited Thiepval Barracks in Lisburn to convey personally to the Officers and soldiers the deep sorrow felt in the community following the recent terrorist attack.
In a visit lasting about one hour and organised by the Army chaplains, the churchmen met with the Camp Commanding Officer and close colleagues of Warrant Officer Jim Bradwell.
"At the time of the attack I expressed my utter revulsion at this cruel and calculated act of violence," said the Moderator. "Today Bishop Moore and I assured those we met of our church's appreciation of what the army does and that our thoughts and prayers are with them and their families."
