The Environmental Panel

As Christians, made in the image and likeness of God, and entrusted with the care of all visible creatures (Psalm 8), we have a dual citizenship in heaven and on earth. The work of the Environmental Panel of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland is to consider our responsibilities to God and His creation on earth.

We discuss a wide range of topics (see the 'Green Page' and other articles in the Presbyterian Herald) such as the use of technology, the planet's resources and their possible renewal, destruction of environments and their culture, exploitation of resources, unregulated urbanisation, pre-occupation with the present without regard for the future. Perhaps the Panel is called to be the warning voice to us all of what we are doing to God's earth?
