Congregations of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland |

4 Portglenone Road,
Sunday Service:
Minister: Rev. Donald Patton |
Randalstown (Old Congregation)Randalstown (old congregation), known locally as the O.C, is one of the most unusual buildings of the Presbyterian Church. The present building (1790) is elliptical - built of stone - and has a Bangor Blue slated roof. It will seat about 1,000 people. It is the oldest congregation of Randalstown and today there are 450 families associated with it. Randalstown is a very pretty village close to the Northern Shore of Lough Neagh in County Antrim - a town on the River Maine which grew because of the Old Bleech linen factory. Today only a finishing factory remains only by DORMA. A feature of this town is the Arches - a stone viaduct floodlit at night. It is near the Grand Entrance to Shane's Castle Estate. We have in the congregation the normal full range of organisations seeking to cater for the whole family, and our aim as a church is to bear testimony to Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord, encourage our people in their Christian faith and witness in the community. Visitors will always be welcome to worship or join the community. For further information visit the congregation's website at www.oc-church.co.uk |
