OrangefieldAs Orangefield is currently undergoing a major building project Information regarding organisations meetings off site can be found by visiting the congregation website Founded in 1935 Orangefield Presbyterian Church has a congregation of around 500-600 families. We exist to bring people to Jesus and membership of His family, to help them grow to maturity, and equip them for ministry in the church and their life mission in the world, so that God might be worshipped in all our living. Our aim is to include all, whatever their circumstances. We welcome young people, senior citizens, lone parents, singles and families with young children. Our church services last approximately an hour and a quarter and the format is varied, informative, challenging and informal. We have added a second morning service to give everyone a chance to worship at a time that suits. Services start at 9.30am, 11.30am and 7.00pm. During morning services we offer
At Orangefield we offer a range of organisations and activities. These include Rainbow Guides, Brownies, Girl Guides, Orangefield Fellowship (Bowls), PWA, Young Women's Group, Men's Bowling, Parent and Toddler Group, Silver Links, Central Prayer Meeting, GB Explorers, GB Company Section, BB Anchor Boys, BB Junior Section, BB Company Section, Saturday Stop Youth Club, SNYF and ACCESS. In addition to these organisations we have Orangefield Listeners willing to listen to people in a variety of stressful situations. We also run Alpha courses on a regular basis. Orangefield now has a staff of seven. This includes our family worker who runs regular relationship and parenting courses and has recently set up a lone parent support group. Over the last couple of years we have developed a young persons' outreach, called Project Wildfire, set in a nearby disused fire station. More recently, together with Kirkpatrick Memorial Presbyterian Church, Belfast YMCA and the Belfast City Mission, we have signed for two adjacent shops on the Clarawood Estate. These will operate as a drop-in centre running a variety of activities for the local community.
