Newington

The original Newington Church was opened for worship on 22 August, 1875 and in September 1876 the Rev John Waddell BA became its first minister. On the 15-16 April, 1941 the church was set alight by incendiary bombs leaving nothing but a shell.

In September 1952 the new Newington Church was dedicated by the moderator of the General Assembly the Rt Rev Dr JKL McKean.
