Congregations of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland |

Inver Road,
Sunday Service:
Minister: Rev. Colin D. McClure B.Sc., B.D., M.S. |
First Larne"This is one of the oldest congregations in the Presbyterian Church..." So says the official History of Congregations in the Presbyterian Church in Ireland. We are conscious that for almost 400 years our forbears have met many challenges to life, livelihood and religious liberty in order to keep the flame of our distinctive Reformed worship and witness burning brightly. We hope we will not be found wanting in our generation when it comes to vision and dedication! Therefore we strive to be a congregational family which is welcoming and relevant to the challenges of our context. In our fellowship, Bible exploration and exposition we are in the business of growing disciples for the 21st century! In our Sunday services (11.30 and 7pm - altered during July/August) we aspire to achieve a stimulating fusion of relevant teaching and blended worship. We are not perfect - but we are on a journey - and we are keen for people to join us on the way! During the week there are activities for all ages (check out our website for up to date information). Our extensive facilities are well used and are always buzzing! We seek to serve the people of our town of Larne and surrounding area. Larne has significant social issues to be tackled but it is also experiencing a steady transformation in housing, shopping and amenities to cater for the increasingly commuter lifestyle. First Larne has long been noted for its community partnerships and involvement, and actively fosters good relations with other congregations and denominations.
