Glastry

The Church is situated one and a half miles inland from the coastal Village of Ballyhalbert. There are two Schools in the area, Victoria Primary School and Glastry College. These Schools have a good academic history. The primary school has a roll of approximately 150 pupils and the college approximately 600.

The Church at Glastry was built in 1777 of stone, and is design of a Cruciform. The premises have been enhanced with the building of a new sports type hall

The Congregation has a membership of approximately 170 families. There are 70 Children in the Sunday School. We have four sections in the Boys Brigade, Bugle Boys 20, Anchor Boys 100, Junior Section 25 and Company Section 20. Some of the boys are at present involved in the Duke of Edinburgh Award. The Youth Club with up to 50 members is held on a Saturday evening during the winter months. There is a Presbyterian Women's group for the ladies. as well as a senior Badminton Club and a Bowling Club for all.
