Dunmurry

Dunmurry Presbyterian has moved from its home of 150 years in Ashley Park and is now in its new home of Kingsway which was formerly the site of the old Trinity church halls. This was an exciting move that the congregation decided to take, and it was taken in order to be closer to the community and be more accessible in reaching out to them. The ordination and installation of Rev. Grant Connor as miinister of the congregation was the first church service to be held in this new and exciting complex on Wednesday 24th November, 2010. The Church was officially opened by the then Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland, The Right. Rev. T. Norman Hamiton OBE, BA, BD, DD on Saturday 19th February, 2011.

The new complex has truly magnificent up to date facilities and all these are not only used by the organisations, but also by community groups as well. These are exciting times for Dunmurry Presbyterian as we engage in reaching out to our community, by being Jesus to it, and showing Jesus to them.

Our ethos is best expressed in our Mission Statement:

"We believe that Jesus has called us to be a friendly church open to ALL:-

  • To be a church where everyone feels welcome and part of a family centred on Jesus as Lord.
  • To be witnesses and servants, both in our neighbourhood and wherever we may be sent.
  • To have love and compassion and concern for ALL people throughout the world.
