Dungannon

Dungannon is a major provinicial town located in the centre of Northern Ireland. Dungannon Presbyterian Church has been a centre of worship for more than 280 years. In 1954 a hall was opened in Moygashel to cater for the needs of this large village situated adjacent to Dungannon. The present combined congregation numbers in excess of 600 families (1997). In 1992 Dungannon church, Moygashel Hall and Dungannon Church Halls were completely refurbished at considerable cost.

Currently the following members of the congregation serve in missionary work:

The church oversees the following organisations: Sabbath School (Junior and Senior), Presbyterian Women's Association, Girl Guides, Brownies, Rainbows, Venture Scouts, Scouts, Cub Scouts, Men's Bowling Club, Ladies Bowling Club, Badminton Club, Young Adults Bible Study Group, Youth Fellowship, Junior Christian Endeavour, Crusader Groups (Boys and Girls), Youth Club, Moygashel Bowling Club, Moygashel Scouts, Moygashel Cub Scouts, Squirrels.

For the past 21 years a two-week Summer School has been held to cater for children (5 -16 years). This has been a very successful annual event with over four hundred children attending each day.

A Mid-week Bible Study takes place each Wednesday evening at 7.45pm. Dungannon morning worship has a creche facility.
