Congregations of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland |
|
Minore,
Sunday Service:
Minister: Rev John Rushton |
DrumDrum is a small village near the Cavan/Monaghan Border. The Presbyterian congregation consists of 62 families, with 200 persons of all ages claiming a connection to us, mainly employed in agriculture. There are a variety of activities held in our hall each week, including bowls, table-tennis and badminton. A Youth club for national school children meets weekly on our premises, one for secondary school folk meets on alternate Fridays. A Youth Fellowship for Cootehill, Drum and Kilmount meets in the Manse on two weekends in the month. We aim to be a welcoming and friendly family of God's people worshipping and serving Him joyfully in our community. To that end we have weekly worship service at 10 am each Sunday, with a Sunday School during the service. A creche for pre-school children is also available. In addition to welcoming any who wish to attend on these occasions there is a monthly Bible Study and Prayer Meeting held in the Session Room at 8pm on the 4th Thursday of the month, and for the ladies exclusively a Presbyterian Woman's Association (PWA) meeting on the first Monday of the month. We are now able to record our services so that any who are housebound may stay in touch with the congregation. If you are in the area you will be very welcome. |
