Cootehill

Cootehill is an expanding rural town on the Cavan/Monaghan border, often regarded as the geographic centre of the counties and Monaghan Presbytery. The Presbyterian congregation consists of 31 families, with 100 persons of all ages claiming a connection to us. There are a variety of activities held in our hall each week, including bowls, table-tennis and badminton. A club for national school children (The Y Club) meets fortnightly on our premises. The Hall also allows us to provide a cup of tea after our worship service on the first Sunday of the month. A Youth Fellowship for Cootehill, Drum and Kilmount meets in the Manse on two weekends in the month.

We aim to be a welcoming and friendly family of God's people worshipping and serving Him joyfully in our community. To that end we have weekly worship service at 11.15 am each Sunday, with a Sunday School for older children meeting at 10.30 am (for younger children during the service). A creche for pre-school children is also available during the service. In addition to welcoming any who wish to attend on these occasions there is a fortnightly Bible Study and Prayer Meeting held in the Hall at 8pm on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month, and for the ladies exclusively a Presbyterian Woman's Association (PWA) meeting on the third Thursday of the month.

If you are visiting Cootehill please do come and join us, you will be assured of a warm welcome!
